Behavioral Services

At TRBS, we work with any neurotypical or neurodiverse child who is displaying challenging behaviors. A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be assigned to your family to assess and facilitate your family success plan.

Our services begin with a one-hour consultation with caregivers to review the issues they have been experiencing. We discuss their concerns and any pertinent background information without the child present. From the one-hour consultation, we offer two options: caregiver training sessions and child-included sessions.

Caregiver Training Sessions

Following the one-hour consultation we develop a family success plan. We schedule weekly caregiver training sessions where you meet with a BCBA (virtual or in-person) to discuss how to implement your success plan and answer any questions you may have. These sessions continue until the caregiver feels confident in the strategies provided and no longer feel they need our support.

Caregiver and Child Sessions

We begin with weekly in-home visits to build rapport with the entire family. These sessions start with our BCBA providing and modeling strategies for both the caregivers and the child. All members of the family are included and sessions should feel like a natural part of the day.

Typically, within 1-2 months, parents are feeling confident enough to carry out all strategies on their own. At that time, we can fade services or discharge, this is at the family’s discretion.
